The Company of Entrepreneurs Trust grants thousands of pounds every year to individuals, organisations, and charities to advance academic and practical skills in business and entrepreneurship.
2025 was a record year for grants, with over £15,000 going to good causes.
The deadline for applications for 2026 grants (payable from May next year) is 30th September 2025. This is particularly relevant to students entering Year 13 this Autumn and considering enrolling on business studies courses at university in the Autumn of 2026. Final year undergraduates looking to move on to relevant postgraduate programmes are also encouraged to apply.
Are you:
• a school, college or university looking to provide bursaries/scholarships in business studies, or to provide extra-curricular entrepreneurship or business simulation classes?
• a charity, social enterprise or other organisation that supports/promotes young enterprise, social enterprise, or other forms of early-stage businesses?
• a promising student considering business studies at undergraduate or postgraduate level, but anxious about course fees or living costs?
If the answer is yes, then please click HERE for a straightforward online application form. Applications should be brief and clearly-defined – a simple outline of the applicant’s position and circumstances is all that is required to begin the process. It's not usually necessary to attach a proposal at this stage, but some concept of your budget is useful to understand how the Trust can make a meaningful difference.
The Trustee Board conducts a paper sift in October, and more detailed information will be sought from longlisted candidates. Grants are payable from May 2026.
