Five Talents UK is a charity (1113969) founded in 1998 with a mission to combat poverty in Eastern Africa through practical programmes of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business skills. Its specialism is working with marginalised communities through microfinance and entrepreneurship - particularly with women.
The Company of Entrepreneurs Trust awarded Five Talents a grant of £2,500 earlier this year. This grant has been used to purchase, run, and maintain a motorcycle, which the charity uses to reach rural communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative has been match-funded by another donor, to further enhance the impact of Five Talents' programme in these communities.

The generosity of support from the Trust and other donors has been such that two new motorcycles have been purchased, fuelled and equipped. These will vastly increase the range and speed of Five Talents’ work and will increase more than ever the number of new and existing Savings Group members in the Aru Territory (Ituri Province) of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Speaking at an event in July 2023, the Chairman of the Company of Entrepreneurs Trust, Mr Gary Dixon, praised the work of Five Talents to date. As Master Entrepreneur, he said he was also ensuring that the talents and experience of Freemen Entrepreneurs were being deployed wherever possible in support of the financial generosity of the Trust. Freemen Entrepreneurs who would like to learn more are very warmly invited to attend a special event in support of Five Talents’ 25th anniversary, led by its Patron, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
