On Thursday 10^th April, the Master Entrepreneur, Mr James Talbot was very pleased to admit Luke Richards as a Freeman Entrepreneur.

 In the beautiful Wax Chandlers’ Hall in the City of London, the Clerk read out Luke’s citation to the Master, Wardens and Court, and special guests from Worshipful Company of Educators, and the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association.

 After employed roles in the high-stakes world of Explosive Ordnance Disposal in the Royal Engineers, and the dynamic environment of the London Fire Brigade, Luke learned precision skills, the how to assess serious risk, and the importance of strategy in execution.

 Transitioning to civilian life, he channelled these skills into entrepreneurship - building the thriving  landscaping firm Terra Firma.

 Seeking diversification, he acquired a Japanese knotweed removal company, expanding his services and strengthening his foothold in the industry.

 Alongside running his businesses, Luke is heavily involved with fundraising for his chosen charities (especially the welfare of children and animals). Luke’s hobbies include martial arts, target and clay pigeon shooting, adventurous training and continued professional development.

 Today, Luke also coaches other entrepreneurs on how to scale their businesses (through smart acquisitions, process optimisation, and growth-focused strategies). He is ambitious that, through the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, he can help nascent entrepreneurs make bold decisions, break through barriers, create sustainable growth, and build ethical and resilient companies.

 The Master welcomed Luke during a short ceremony. Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant earlier in the evening, the Master was especially pleased to welcome Luke as an Armed Forces veteran. The Master looked forward to Luke’s involvement in the Company’s Outreach work and with its Military Affiliations.
