It was a great privilege to see the Installation of the Company’s 8th Master – Judy Hadden.  Additionally we congratulate Gary Dixon - Senior Warden, Mark Huxley FRSA - Middle Warden & Alastair King - Junior Warden on being installed in their new Warden roles. What a team for 2022 and beyond. 

We all give thanks to Lars B Andersen, our Immediate Past Master for all his work & skill over the previous 12 months, building City & Livery connections and raising the profile of the The Company of Entrepreneurs in the City of London especially in the up’s and downs of various restrictions.

Judy was first drawn to the Entrepreneurs by Dan Doherty, our inspirational founder, & immediately struck by his enthusiasm and vision of a new livery company in the making, one that was diverse, inclusive, collaborative and that looked to the future, whilst being respectful of & embracing its historic City roots & traditions.

The Entrepreneurs is made up of approx. 200 (& growing 🚀) individual entrepreneurs from different trades & professions. All share the badge of risking their own money and having the inevitable sleepless nights whilst juggling the various priorities …and cash flow to create a successful business, employment for others, etc.

All also share the desire to give back and particularly to play a part in improving the shocking odds of survival of UK start ups; 50%+ fail to thrive & disappear before their 5th anniversary!

The focus of Judy’s year ‘in the chair’ is ‘support’ - to our Freemen, to nascent & future entrepreneurs for whom we can ‘send the lift back down’ & to society by collaborating with fellow entrepreneurs & innovators to tackle social & environmental problems.
