On 30th June, 2022, the Court met to elect a Master and Wardens to serve from 24th November 2022.

The Master, Mrs Judy Hadden, offered her sincere congratulations to all those elected to serve, and looked forward to announcing the names formally to Freemen and guests at the Summer Banquet on 7th July.

NOTES: An Election Court sits in June/July each year. Amongst the regular business of the Company’s governance, the Court elects its officers for the following year, which begins with the Installation Court on or around 24th November.
 
Any voting member of the Court may be elected to any office, though, by convention, the sitting Wardens each progress to the next highest office, and it is only a new Junior Warden that is elected from amongst the Assistants. A Nominations Committee interviews candidates in the weeks before the meeting, and presents its recommendations to the Court via the Clerk.
 
The Nominations Committee encourages all voting members of Court to consider whether they could serve as an officer. Please contact the Clerk to find out more about the roles of the officers of the Company, and the process by which candidates are recommended.
