The Jolly Isolator - the Global Local Pub that everyone can turn up to.

During the pandemic Freemen were unable to meet on a regular basis, so we devised an online meeting place and aptly named it The Jolly Isolator. It helped everyone to keep in touch and hopefully cured some of the isolation we all felt during those troubling times. Now, The Jolly Isolator is back with a vengeance. This time to help to Freemen to connect with other Freemen online. Some of our Freemen don’t have the opportunity to regularly attend events and meet ups in London, now they can mix with those who are a bit more local to the City. On the 4th Wednesday of each month we’ll invite a guest speaker to give a ten-minute presentation, we’ll then network, chat and catch up in general.

On Wednesday 28th February freeman entrepreneurs got together online via Zoom for the return of the Jolly Isolator, for an enlightening talk on the fascinating journey of Herdy®, the beloved brand born from the picturesque landscapes of the Lake District. Co-founder Spencer Hannah took us on a captivating exploration of how they transformed a chance encounter with a Herdwick sheep into a thriving business empire. From humble beginnings with just three products to becoming a multi-million-pound enterprise, Herdy has captured hearts worldwide with its unique blend of high-quality design and social responsibility. We discovered how Herdy's commitment to fair trade and community support has made it not just a brand, but a symbol of positivity, inclusivity, and joy. It was a great opportunity to learn about an emerging British lifestyle brand that redefined the meaning of a ‘love mark’ - one sheep at a time!

Here’s to the next Jolly Isolator.
