The Tribe Charity Golf Day 2025: A Day of Community and Generosity

In the spirit of camaraderie and philanthropy, The Tribe Charity Golf Day 2025 unfolded against the picturesque panorama of The Addington Golf Club in Surrey on September 11th. This esteemed gathering exemplifies the values of fellowship and generosity, key tenets upheld by the insurance community. This year, the event successfully garnered over £12,000 in support of the Entrepreneurs Award for Social Innovation (EASI), a beacon for fostering innovative social entrepreneurship.

Tribe's annual golf day transcends mere sport; it is a harmonious blend of competition and community. Facilitating an environment where insurance professionals unite, the event is a testament to the sector's commitment to nurturing new enterprises with a social conscience. EASI, supported by the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Trust, disburses these crucial funds to budding entrepreneurs, underpinning the nascent stages of businesses aspiring to impact society positively.

The day commenced with a convivial breakfast, leading into the much-anticipated shotgun start at 9.00 am. Despite a brief interruption by an unexpected downpour, players were rewarded with a spectacular rainbow, an apt symbol of the optimism and commitment infusing the event.

Highlighting the competitive zest, the team of Lee Taylor, Justin Ward, Gary Green, and Paul Dunlop claimed the crown of victory with commendable skill and coordination. The women's category celebrated Amanda Clark, who delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the best ladies’ score among 12 contenders. Meanwhile, the riveting competition between Kevin Cutler and ex-Crystal Palace player John Salako ended in a tie, with Salako edging out by a narrow countback.

The day’s finale, the evening prize-giving, epitomized the spirit of community and gratitude. Co-founders Patrick Smith and Nick Stretton expressed heartfelt thanks to those who contributed to the event's remarkable success. Nick eloquently remarked, “A massive thank you to all our supporters who made it, yet again, a bumper year for Tribe’s chosen charity.” Echoing these sentiments, Patrick added, “Giving back is all-important, and supporting fledgling businesses to allow them to thrive is exciting.”

The Tribe Charity Golf Day could not have flourished without the steadfast support of its sponsors, led by Qover, and the 15 additional sponsors who demonstrated unyielding backing. Their contributions underscore a shared mission to uphold excellence and integrity within the industry while fostering innovation and progress.

The day was a sterling reflection of the core values cherished by Tribe and the wider community — a salute to the power of collective action and the enduring impact still to unfold through EASI’s endeavours. As the last guests departed, there blossomed a shared resolve to reconvene next year, not only for the love of the game but to continue championing the causes that bind us together.

To all sponsors, participants, and supporters, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your involvement is more than presence; it is a commitment to a future where business meets purpose and community flourishes.
