The Lord Mayor’s Show 2024

The Lord Mayor's Show is the oldest, longest, best loved (and least-rehearsed) civic procession in the world. The 2024 Show will set off from Mansion House on 9 November at 11am.

Subject to election, Alderman for the Ward of Queenhithe and Senior Warden of the Company of Entrepreneurs, Alastair King, will take office to serve the City of London in the Silent Ceremony as the 696th Lord Mayor of London. On 9th November the Lord Mayor's Show will take him to Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown. 7,000 people, 200 horses, and around 150 floats will take part in a three mile-long procession to mark the Lord Mayor’s first full day in office

You can join him in celebration of this historic occasion - making entrepreneurs full stakeholders in the mayoral and civic agenda, and swell this highly public platform for the distinctive professional discipline of entrepreneurship.

With rolling BBC coverage, print media, and Show collateral, the Company of Entrepreneurs and headline sponsors Mooboo will give you an unforgettable experience!

A small number of walking spaces is available alongside the Master and Wardens at this high-profile event. With a lunch stop buffet, and plenty of refreshments, photos and fun.

The Lord Mayor’s Show brings the whole community of the City together - whether it’s those who live, work, study or visit here – to cheer on those taking part. They will also welcome the new Lord Mayor who in turn will be ‘shown’ to the people of the City, which is the original purpose of the Day and includes swearing an oath of allegiance to the sovereign at the Royal Courts of Justice. The procession is built around the state coach in which the Lord Mayor travels and is accompanied by the Pageantmaster, City Marshal, Pikemen and Musketeers that reflect the Show’s history which stretches back more than 800 years. They are joined by military bands and units, modern business city floats, community groups and charities in a blaze of colour and noise that show the modern face of the Square Mile.
