Like a moth to a flame, the Appreciation Supper returns on the evening of Thursday 10th April 2025 at the beautiful Wax Chandlers' Hall.

Particularly aimed at new Freemen (but terrific fun for longstanding members too), attendees can expect gentle tuition in the fine arts of:

•   Talking and not talking

•   Drinking and not drinking

•   How to clap

•   Handling gigantic and priceless silverware

•   Standing up and sitting down

•   Singing

•   More clapping

•   More singing

•   Going away

Be baffled, astounded, and amazed at just how complicated a thousand years of the City of London has managed to make the business of having a nice dinner.

Early booking is, regrettably, essential for this ridiculous event, punctuated with lively commentary from the Master & Wardens, Beadle, and musicians. The Master’s guest speaker, the Lady Mayoress Mrs Florence King, will elucidate and entertain on the subject of the City Civic, and the Master is pleased to be joined by the Master Educator and guests and friends from the Company's military affiliates.
