The Installation Dinner 2025

Join us for the Company's most significant evening of the year as Alderman Alastair King is installed as the 12th Master Entrepreneur, together with his Wardens - Rita W. Bologna, Jat Wasu, and Veronica Heaven.

This is your opportunity to be part of City tradition, hear directly from the new Master about his vision for the year ahead, and celebrate with fellow members and distinguished guests at one of London's finest livery halls.

THE EVENING

The new Master welcomes a stellar panel of official guests, including the Master Draper, Prime Warden Blacksmith, Master Marketor and Master Information Technologist. The Company's two RAF affiliates, Air Mobility Force and the Rapid Capabilities Office, will be represented by their commanding officers, and the Master welcomes Air Chief Marshal the Lord Peach KG.

The evening takes place at Painters' Hall in the Master's own Ward of Queenhithe. You'll enjoy a reception with fellow members and guests, followed by a three-course dinner with wine. Most importantly, you'll hear the new Master set out his plans and priorities for his year in office - the speech that shapes the Company's direction for the next twelve months. The Master is delighted to welcome Martin Gilbert, co-founder of Aberdeen Asset Management and Chair of Revolut to speak on behafl of the guests. With over 50 million customers, Revolut's profits and valuation are measured in the billions, and Mr Gilbert is certain to have something to say in support of the new Master's drive for the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs to link ideas & investment in 2026 and beyond!

This is also one of the few occasions in the City calendar where full ceremonial dress is still observed, adding to the sense of occasion and tradition.

THE CEREMONY

The evening begins with the Installation Court at St Lawrence Jewry next Guildhall, where the formal installation ceremony takes place. This ancient tradition sees the new Master invested with the symbols of office before leading the Company to dinner. Please note that full details of the Installation Court are published as a separate event HERE

If you've not attended an Installation before, it's worth experiencing at least once. The combination of ceremony, tradition, and the genuine warmth of the celebration makes it one of the highlights of the Company year.
